What your cravings really want to tell you …
- Do you ever find yourself going to the fridge even though you’re not really hungry? That you have a craving for special (mostly unhealthy) sweet or salty foods?
- And have you ever wondered that there could be more to these cravings? That these cravings could be messages from your inner self? Or that they could also be compensation mechanisms for situations and emotions that you find unpleasant?
👉 Cravings are often an expression of desires or longings that you don’t have access to on a conscious level at the moment. Going to the fridge, your craving, is a symptom that prevents this desire, this longing, from even coming to the surface & being made visible. As a result, you cannot recognize and perceive it at all and cannot understand the messages that your soul & body are sending you.
Depending on your choice of flavors in cravings, there may be a link to an emotional need:
🍫 Sweet as a quiet message for needs for love, comfort, a hug & the feeling of being held, possibly associated from childhood with the love of our mother & security. You may wish for affection, warmth & care.
🍟 Salty as a loud message and associated with the feeling of not being seen or heard and thus the attempt to deal with frustration & disappointment. It may be interesting for you to learn how you can make yourself heard more, assert yourself or basically learn to speak your truth & express your needs.
